Title Page: The Best Advice our Attorneys Have Received | With Attorneys Ashley Renz, Brad Schweiger, and Lane Fitzgerald
Question: What is the best piece of advice you have ever received?
Attorney Brad Schweiger: The best piece of advice anyone has given me for the law is my civil procedure professor Professor Molly Lee was amazing in telling us that civil procedure is our quiver and with our arrows and each tool of civil procedure while it might not be the most exciting subject or the most exciting thing to do on a day to day basis, it gives us all the tools to kind of hit our targets and another area to attack in opposing parties, complaint or response to try to find the best offense or defense we can for our clients.
Attorney Ashley Renz: The best piece of advice I’ve ever received is to never give up. The law practice can definitely be hard and trying. You can definitely get bogged down in the all the semantics of it so it’s very important to remember to never give up and keep fighting for what it is you’re here to do.
Attorney Lane Fitzgerald: To have ambition would be the best piece of advice that I have ever received. In essence, even if you think you’ve done everything that you can or that everything is going well, or everything in your life is just as you wanted it to be, it’s kind of my opinion that there is always room to improve on that and by having ambition it allows you to continue to achieve higher and higher. While plateauing is fine and you can be happy with that in my opinion that there is always room for more.
Attorney Brad Schweiger: In civil litigation there is three rules. If you can’t find the money, don’t sue. If there is no money, don’t sue. If you can find the money, but you can’t get at the money, don’t sue.
