Title Slide: The Evolution of The Fitzgerald Law Firm | With Attorneys Brad Schweiger and Lane Fitzgerald
Prompt: Tell us about your evolution at The Fitzgerald Law Firm
Attorney Brad Schweiger: I think the practice has grown and the relationship with the firm has evolved to, I think, a really good point where we do a lot of things collaboratively. We are not afraid to shoot ideas off of each other. We all have our own separate cases and work on our own little niche.
Attorney Lane Fitzgerald: At the firm here it has evolved in the fact that when I first started it was a lot of work, like an incredible amount of work for me in a sense to do everything. When I started the firm it was just myself at a desk and oddly enough I kept that desk and I still use that desk in my office now.
Attorney Brad Schweiger: I think we have a fairly good open door policy in the firm where it’s not as rigid where, this is mine, this is yours. We can kind of come together and shoot ideas off each other to maximize our brain power.
Attorney Lane Fitzgerald: There was a lot more ministerial work such as things that I would have to handle because I didn’t have a staff in order to help with everything. Now that I have a staff helping me out and I’m able to hire other people in order to help me with tasks that aren’t necessarily legally based, it allows me to do a lot more of the legal work and a lot more client interaction. In essence, it just allows me to do more of the things that I expected to do when I graduated law school.
